HP's Z series is its professional display line, built for workstations rather than for a desk in a shop. We stock the Z24n G2, a 24 inch Full HD IPS screen with HDMI and DisplayPort, at around 450 SAR. It is the most expensive monitor we sell and the one to choose if the screen is what you look at all day.
Two things. The bezel is among the thinnest HP has made, which matters if you plan to run two screens beside each other, and the stand adjusts fully including rotation to portrait. It is a colour accurate IPS panel built for design and engineering work rather than for spreadsheets alone, which is why it held its value.
If you run one of our used HP EliteBook laptops, the newer generations can drive this screen over USB-C or Thunderbolt from the same cable that charges them. Older EliteBooks connect over HDMI. If you want a less expensive screen, our used Dell monitors start at 290 SAR, and you can compare everything in used monitors.
It is HP's professional display line, sold alongside its workstation computers. Z series monitors use colour accurate IPS panels, thin bezels and fully adjustable stands, and they are built for design and engineering work rather than for general office use.
It costs more and it is a better panel, with a thinner bezel than the Dell equivalents. If the screen is what you look at all day, or you work with colour, it is worth the difference. For documents, email and spreadsheets a Dell P series monitor does the same job for less.
With a newer HP EliteBook, yes: those generations can carry video and power over a single USB-C or Thunderbolt connection. Older laptops connect over HDMI or DisplayPort, and the monitor has both.
Grade A means minimal cosmetic wear and the device looks close to new, grade B means light but visible marks from normal use, and grade C means heavier cosmetic marks. Every grade is tested to work correctly before listing, and the grade is shown on the product page. Most of our stock is grade A.
