Description
Apple MacBook Air A1466 in Saudi Arabia
The 13.3 inch MacBook Air A1466 is the model that defined the thin aluminium laptop, and it remains one of the least expensive routes into macOS. This unit runs a 1.6GHz dual core Intel Core i5 with Turbo Boost to 2.7 GHz, 4GB of onboard LPDDR3 memory and 128GB of PCIe flash storage. Sold as pre-owned Grade A stock.
What This MacBook Air A1466 Is Good For
- Students and light office work. Documents, browsing, email and video calls on a machine light enough to carry all day.
- Ports that modern MacBooks removed. Two full size USB 3.0 ports, an SDXC card slot and Thunderbolt 2, none of which the USB-C only MacBooks have.
- MagSafe 2 charging. The magnetic connector releases if someone catches the cable, instead of pulling the laptop off the desk.
- Photographers on a budget. The SD card slot alone saves carrying a reader.
Condition and What Is Included
This MacBook Air A1466 is graded pre-owned Grade A, a grade that describes cosmetic wear and nothing else. Keyboard, trackpad, ports, display, speakers and charging are checked before the unit is listed, and it ships with a charger. It has a full size backlit keyboard and a 54 watt-hour battery.
Choosing Between This and the M1
Both are 13.3 inch MacBook Airs and they are very different machines. This A1466 is an Intel model with 4GB of memory and a 1440 x 900 screen, and it is the affordable one. The MacBook Air M1 is far faster, silent, has a much sharper Retina display and runs current macOS. Buy this A1466 when the budget decides, and the M1 when the machine has to last.
